With us, adventure takes precedence over classic vacations, spontaneity over organized trips, and authenticity on beaches and hotels. As soon as we, Nicolas, Lou and Diane, have some free time, we go exploring. Since 2021, we have been taking participants on board to discover unknown territories and meet their inhabitants.
After a successful first edition in Haute-Marne, it is a question of sharing the experience. Our first videos are coming out this year and the feedback makes us want to continue.
Full of good ideas, which it would now be a matter of testing: is it easy to sleep in a local's house, to meet open people and to discover the richness of a territory with Portraits 2 Passages? The answer is a big yes after a pilot in Yonne.
It's been a year since Lou started a doctorate on our relationship with computer technologies and sustainability. Meeting communities and studying their use of technology is part of Lou's activities. Portraits 2 Passages will make it possible to broaden the field (without making it a scientific study) and to see the relationship that people have to their territory, their movements, their social ties, etc.
Since his Erasmus, Nicolas has sought to meet endangered languages and cultures in order to make them known and to preserve them. What could be better than hitchhiking and sleeping in a local's house to highlight them?
Respectively president and treasurer of Ingénieurs Sans Frontières in Troyes, Lou and Nicolas launched Start & Stop. Objective: to stop twenty pairs leaving to solve challenges. Diane was not far away and participated in the second edition in Aube. Concept validated, it is now a question of developing it... and it will be Portraits 2 Passages
In 2016 it was Diane and Lou's turn to embark on a new hitchhiking trip: discover Brittany for two weeks. Two years later, they left for Auvergne.
Following his Erasmus, Nicolas wanted to meet European populations and try a concept that was brand new to him: hitchhiking. He went to Europe for 6 weeks: France, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Lichtenstein, France, France, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Lichtenstein, France, Lichtenstein, France, Lichtenstein, Austria, Austria, Hungary, Ukraine, Georgia and Armenia, just before returning the day before his final defense in Troyes. And it was only an attempt...
It was at the University of Technology in Troyes that we met. Nicolas was going on Erasmus to Sweden; Diane and Lou had just joined the IT and Information Systems Engineering course at UTT.
