Make way for a new edition of Portraits 2 Passages with two participants with profiles as varied as they are intriguing: Paul-Émile, engineer and climber from Agen, and Éliot, doctoral student and Parisian artist. Their mission? Discover a department still unknown to them: the Gers!
Departure Friday, February 11 at 8 am from Toulouse for a unique adventure between southerners. Their challenge? Explore the territory and return, all in less than 48 hours, only by hitchhiking. Encounters, landscapes and unforeseen events are guaranteed in this getaway rich in discoveries!
The Castelmore Castle is located in the town of Lupiac, in the French department of Gers. It owes its fame to the fact that it was the birthplace of Charles de Batz de Castelmore, known as D'Artagnan.
The Flaran Abbey Is an ancient Cistercian abbey, daughter of Escaladieu Abbey (Hautes-Pyrénées), located in Valence-sur-Baïse, in the department of Gers. It was founded in 1151, at the confluence ofAuloue And of the Baïse.
Founded in 1994 by Henri Lambert, Le Bleu de Lectoure has become, over time, a key player in the valorization of dye pastel (Isatis tinctoria). For several years, Henri Lambert brought ancestral dyeing techniques up to date. He also built the reputation of the “Bleu de Lectoure” brand.
Today, the company is located at 15 Avenue de la Gare, in the former Lectoure train station.

The Monumental staircase in Auch Is a classified site and a historic monument from the 19th century constituting a pedestrian path connecting the upper and lower town of Auch by the 374 steps of its staircase. There are 374 steps in total with the double flights.
The Tower of Rohan, in Mirande. In the 13th century, the Count of Astarac Bernard IV and his son Centulle III wanted Mirande to become capital of the country of Astarac. They then left Simorre to settle in the new city, where they built a castle. Inside the country house, they installed a stately residence with a square brick tower, which is still visible today. In 1739, the County of Astarac passed by marriage to the Rohan-Chabot family (descendants of the Dukes of Brittany), hence the current name of the Tower visible at the corner of Rue des Écoles and Rue Sérignac.
La Vine de Sarragachies or “Vine de la Ferme Pédebernade” Is a parcel of winee du Gers, in the heart of Gascony, part of the Plaimont Producteurs vineyard, whose strains are among the oldest in France.
